The Learn the Ten idea was born while teaching the 10 Commandments to a second grade Sunday School class.  This visual method worked so well that after just one lesson students could stand in front of their parents and recite them by number and commandment.  A parent could call out "Ninth?" and immediately the group would respond "Do not lie."  Or, "Do not bow to idols?" and the students would shout, "The second."  Soon parents were admitting, "I don't know them myself."

Learn the Ten is successful because nearly everyone is familiar with the principles, but very few people actually know all 10 Commandments by number and sequence.  This method has been effective in all kinds of learning situations, age 5 years and up.

With a B.S. in Art Education, M.A. in Studio Art, and M.F.A. in Painting, Jim Craft has experience teaching both elementary and secondary art, and has been teaching at the college level for 16 years.  He is currently Associate Professor of Art at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
